Mechanical effect
The mechanical action of ultrasound can make the liquid emulsify, make the gel liquefy and disperse the solid. Cavitation.

Chemical reaction effect
The effect of ultrasound may cause some chemical reactions to attack or accelerate. For example, pure distilled water is treated by ultrasonic to produce hydrogen peroxide; Nitrous acid was produced by ultrasonic treatment; Discoloration or fading of Dye Aqueous Solution by ultrasonic treatment. The above phenomena usually occur simultaneously with cavitation. Ultrasound can also accelerate the hydrolysis, synthesis, polymerization and other chemical processes. The effect of ultrasound on photochemistry and electrochemistry is also obvious. After ultrasonic treatment, the characteristic absorption bands of amino acids and other organic substances in aqueous solution disappear, showing average common absorption, which indicates that the molecular structure has changed.
